Today, I started my UC Applications (Berkeley, UCLA, Davis) and attempted to figure out what major I wanted to select for Berkeley, as computer science is highly competitive at Berkeley. So, you can either apply to a dual electrical engineering and computer science program that is highly selective (for which you are guaranteed your major if you get in) or you can apply to Computer Science by itself, but you are not guaranteed to be able to claim the major until you have at least a GPA of 3.3 in 3 intro comp sci classes they offer (which according to many sources is difficult to do). So, I considered applying to a non-computer science major at Berkeley, but not fully sure yet
