Worked on my annotated bib all of class. Did a few quick google searches and found that a few data scientists have done projects extremely similar to mine; they have used a recurrent neural network called char-rnn created by Andrei Karpathy to generate recipes and their corresponding ingredient lists. I may end up trying to implement my own neural network, but if that doesn't work I may change the focus of my project to analysis of the recipes char-rnn produces. Nevertheless, I will continue to take my courses in machine learning and data science so I can gain the knowledge and coding experience needed to understand how these networks are implemented.
